Tartan has had an illustrious history since first being brought to Scotland in the 3rd Century AD by the Celtic populations of Central Europe. Its many accolades include: featuring in the first permanent colour photograph, heading to the moon, and growing to include about 14,000 patterns.
Today, many people use the term ‘flat cap’ as a blanket description of all these types of caps, but there’s actually several distinct styles: flat caps, newsboy caps, duckbill caps, and baker boy caps all have distinct traits that make them unique from each other.
